Life in the City

A great aspect of graduate school at MIT is living in Cambridge/Boston. Boston is a vibrant, walkable, and historic city. From Boston Common to Fenway Park, from the Museum of Fine Arts to New England Aquarium, the city has A LOT to offer. On the right is an interactive map of biograds’ favorite places to eat and explore. Student Perks:

MIT students can visit almost any museum in the city for free. The MITAC office and CAMIT offer students discounted tickets to movies, concerts, stage performances, sports games, and other events around the city. For instance, with a $9 College Card, MIT students can go to as many Boston Symphony Orchestra concerts as they want every year. The Graduate Student Council also offers annual ski trips at an affordable cost.
